Gabrielle Neaves is a writer, musician, composer/ director of Musicals/Film and Television.
As a screen writer Gabrielle writes comedy intertwined with Australian history/fiction. She is a published author, mostly on Australian history.
As a writer/director for more than thirty years, Gabrielle has mostly directed large scale (250 – 600 caste) musicals in private schools. She writes and records the music for the nationally performed musicals.
Writing successful television advertisements (which were shown nationally) with her own original music piqued her interest in writing and marketing.
She currently writes/records educational songs and booklets for The Blueberry Classroom which are used extensively by teachers.
Gabrielle’s latest movie scripts (the 2nd and 3rd sequels of which are written with her husband, Gary Neaves) features the hilarious disasters of Julia – a musician working in the Australian music industry in the 1970s. The movies also portray the strength of women in the early years of the Australian Music Industry and feature Australian music and icons of that era. Gabrielle is currently advertising for a Director for the movies.
Gabrielle lives with her family near Brisbane in Queensland, Australia.
